Frequently asked questions
Do I need a referral?
Not always. Many patients book directly. Some insurance plans require a referral from your primary care doctor. Our team will check this for you when you call.
What insurance do you accept?
We accept most major commercial insurance plans, including Aetna, Cigna, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield and UnitedHealthcare. We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid plans at this time. Call us to verify your plan before your visit.
Do you accept Medicare or Medicaid?
Not at this time. This includes Medicare Advantage and Medicaid managed care plans.
Will I need surgery?
Most patients don't. We start with the least invasive treatment likely to work, such as physical therapy, bracing or medication, and recommend surgery only when it will clearly help.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
A photo ID, your insurance card, any referral, prior X-ray or MRI reports (or the discs) and a list of your medications and allergies.
Which office should I go to?
Pick whichever of our six New Jersey offices is most convenient: Wayne, Hackensack, Dover, Elizabeth, East Brunswick or Marlton.
How quickly can I be seen?
We aim to see new patients quickly, and sooner for acute injuries. Call and we'll find the earliest opening at the office closest to you.
I don't have insurance. Can I still be seen?
Yes. Self-pay patients can request a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before their visit. See our No Surprises Act notice for your rights.
